There are two levels available for UK-based members, plus an overseas rate:

Do I get anything else?

Apart from our world-class programme of events, members also have unlimited access to our digital space. The Clubhouse is a place to connect with other members, watch videos from our events, read the latest thought-leading blogs and view award-winning case studies.

As part of membership you will also receive two publications: Market Leader, our quarterly journal, and a monthly copy of Marketing magazine, both sent directly to you.

You'll also have the option of purchasing, at a discounted rate, our publication Marketing Excellence 2 - a compilation of winning marketing case studies from our annual Awards for Excellence.

Do you offer corporate membership?

The Marketing Society has over 80 corporate members, including Waitrose, BT, Heineken and Unilever. If you would like to enquire about the benefits of corporate membership, please contact Stuart Treasure. Our corporate member scheme is designed to offer a real sense of progression offering the opportunity to reward and recognise talent, and allow senior teams to connect to our network. How can I renew my membership?

You can renew your membership here using your log in details. Alternatively, you can call the membership team on 020 8973 1350.

How do I recommend someone for membership?

You can recommend someone for membership by filling out our member get member form. If their application is approved you will be entitled to a selection of rewards - a Marketing Society voucher, a selection of fine wines, a luxury hamper, a Red Letter Day experience or a £50 John Lewis voucher.

How do I update my personal details?

If you are a member of The Marketing Society, you can log in and change your details with the ‘My Account’ section. Alternatively you can call the membership team on 020 8973 1350

Can I get a complimentary copy of Market Leader?

To receive a complimentary copy of Market Leader with full details on the benefits of membership please contact the team and we will be able to send you a copy. 

EVENTS

How many events can I attend as a member of The Marketing Society?

Unlimited, we run our events for you and it would be great to see you at as many of our events as possible.

Can I attend an event if I am not a member?

You can attend one event as a non-member to experience the network. A member can send a non-member to replace them once at no extra charge. After this there will be an additional charge added of £25. Non-members that replace a member will also be subject to the one event rule, whereby they will not be able to attend another event unless they themselves become a member.

Where can I watch the video from the last event I attended?

All our videos are located exclusively for our members in The Cinema.

Do you run events outside of London?

Yes, we run a large programme of events in Scotland. We also run events in the Midlands and the North of England although this programme is still being developed. If you are interested in helping to engage in the Midlands or The North please contact Siobhan Cook.

How many and what type of events do you run?

We run approximately 60 events a year and they vary in style from our Annual Conference and Dinner to Under the Spotlight’s and Annual Lectures. We also run a variety of social events such as our Summer Party on the roof terrace at JWT and our Christmas Drinks. All our events sit within seven main streams which are, Flagship, Digital, Green, B2B, Growth, Customer Champions and Social. We are always looking for new ideas on event formats so if you have any ideas please contact siobhanc@marketingsociety.co.uk.

How do I book onto an event?

The majority of our events can be booked online via our booking system. You can also book by calling our team on 020 8973 1360 or emailing us at bookings@marketingsociety.co.uk. If an event is not available to be booked online please contact the team as it may be that the event is sold out and we can place you on a waiting list.

What happens if I have booked an event and I would like to send someone in my place?

A member can send a substitute delegate in their place if that person is also a member of The Marketing Society at no extra cost. A member can send a non-member substitute in their place once at no extra charge. After that there will be an additional charge each time a member is replaced by a non-member. Non-members that replace a member will be subject to the one event rule, whereby they will not be able to attend another event unless they themselves become a member.

What are your standard event cancellations?

Tickets can be cancelled up to two weeks prior to the event date. All cancellations will be subject to a 30% administration charge. Any cancellations made within the two weeks prior to the event will be charged at the full ticket price.

What is your Annual Conference & Dinner cancellation policy?

Where can I find my log in details?

You can find your log in details on the back of your membership card. If you can’t find your membership card then if you select ‘Forgotten my password‘ we can send a reminder to your email address.

I've heard I can contribute content to the online Clubhouse, how do I do this?

Please contact our Digital Manager Michael Piggott who manages The Marketing Society Clubhouse, he can pass on your ideas and thoughts to the Society’s Editor, Elen Lewis.

How do I find my way around the Clubhouse, is there a user guide?

To help you navigate the Clubhouse we’ve created a little video to lead you through each floor. From learning more about our Manifesto for Marketing to commenting on videos in our Cinema – we’ve given you a whistle-stop tour. It takes but a few minutes and we hope you find it handy.

How do I join The Marketing Society Book Club?

What training does The Marketing Society offer?

We provide our members the opportunity to grow their skills and & share best practice. One of our exclusive professional development courses is The Marketing Society, Marketing Leaders Programme run is association with Brand Learning. The programme is a unique development experience for high potential individuals who are preparing for marketing leadership roles. Now in its ninth year, this blend of marketing and people leadership skill development, delivered by eminent industry leaders and leadership experts, is designed to help shape the great marketing leaders of tomorrow.

How do I enter the Marketing Society Awards for Excellence?

The 2015 Marketing Society Awards for Excellence entries will open later in September. The categories will be posted and submissions will be invited. The awards are designed to be accessible to organisations of every size and description. There are special prizes for smaller companies, not for profit organisations and business to business marketing. The Awards categories reflect strategic marketing objectives that are common to all organisations. Your submissions will be judged against the marketing achievements of all types of business – rather than just those of direct competitors in your industry sector. When will the Shortlist be announced?

The shortlist will be announced in April 2014.

When is the Awards Night?

The 2014 Marketing Society Awards for Excellence Night will take place on 5 June 2013, at the London Hilton on Park Lane, London.

Where can I find past case studies?

Members can access past winning papers in our Clubhouse Library. As a member, all you need to do is log in using your member number and password and visit the Library.
